St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Goring-on-Thames - Organ Rebuild 2022/23
Elizabeth Parkinson asked me to photograph the rebuilding of the organ, which was last rebuilt in 1930 (and several times before that)
The images here were taken between 22nd April 2022 just before the start of the Project, and 18th February 2023 when a Gala was held to celebrate the end of the first part of the project
.
Dismantling began on Tuesday 26th April and I have recorded the work as it progressed.

25th October - Progress installing new bellows and pipes
18th November. Console now in place and being tested
Lots of pipes, old and new going in along with the solenoids, computers and miles of wiring
And finally the organ is complete and ready to entertain again.
